Strive Therapeutic
Strives mission is to provide a professional Therapeutic Service to Children and Young People
We offer the experience and passion necessary to work therapeutically with children and young people.
We offer support for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues, but will happily advise if more intense support is required from any specialist services.
Strive are particularly passionate about early intervention. Early intervention can prevent mental health issues developing into more serious or even diagnosable mental health conditions in later life. Modern life places many pressures and stresses on our young people. By equipping them with skills and tools to help them become more resilient and powerful to deal with the hurdles in an emotionally healthy manner. These skills are something our young people need now more than ever.

I brought my son to Colleen when he was 14 years old as he was really struggling with his mental health due to bullying and a feeling of general isolation and had lost all confidence in himself. The patience and kindness Colleen showed to not just my son but also to me as his mother was just amazing. We got the sense instantly that to Colleen this wasn’t just a job or a client, she genuinely cared and had a real passion to help those who came to her. My son is now a thriving 19 year old young man and to this day will often talk about the difference Colleen made to his life. We will never forget her for this and will be forever grateful.
I am a previous client of Colleen Kearney who was my counsellor for a year and a half. Colleen's compassion and ability to understand is second to none; which as you can imagine helps a lot, especially when you are an anxious teenager as I was.
